From the original anonymous text book, on page 85, we find the following information:  "What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition. Every day is a day when we must carry the vision of God's will into all of our activities. 'How can I best serve Thee - Thy will (not mine) be done.'"

“And so, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to that vision from heaven. I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must turn from their sins and turn to God—and prove they have changed by the good things they do. Seems strange to me that most have heard that great love and great suffering need be our only disciplinarians, in anonymous recovery.

scribe's notes:  many politicians have claimed visions.  seems that we need heavenly vision, for this sick and troubled world.  we have accepted that in many centuries past, theologians established genesis was written about the beginning of spiritual time as being close to the year 4000 bc.  we are now at 2000 ad.  and since god thinks of a day as being one thousand years, the intended curse since adam and eve's rebellion has ended, for those that love god, with all of their mind, strength, might, and heart. all were allowed to turn to god's son's spirit, and received the necessary spiritual awakening, for repentance, and practiced the spiritual principles to god's satisfaction, after they worked all of the twelve steps, and embraced the twelve traditions.
