 ol' ron boy's athletical career; NONE> onlyest sportS for "FUN" & exercise.  :-)

[ midget football*, jr. high varsity football> 'second' string behind MONSTER size center. :-) ] 

on sunny days, during summer recess from school, occasionally, would ride ol' two wheeler to town - FEW miles - on the red dirt second lane - unpaved - of a national hiway.   there was a wooden halfcourt backboard - maybe several, not remember - for single player tennis practice, @ the memorial baseball stadium SITE; also had regular tennis courts.

 

not any athletics, except swimming, @ beach, during college; only several years.  :-)

 

as a young adult, w/career just starting, and dos teeny tiny kids @ home, onlyest exercise ol ron boy ever got was play'n basketball in backyard neighbors driveway, w/young kid - 10/12 years old; NO basketball shoes> leather soled tassel loafers.  :-)

 

when teeny tiny kids get'n big kids, played tennis, @ local sports center, in mountainS.  wife even joined in - doubles - UNTIL switch partners, wife/opponent> and did an overhead slam-aroo, play'n NET slot, and hit ol' wife @ upper shoulder - play'n @ net 2, which ended that EXERCISE!

 

join a. a., and started play'n volley ball, @ sum july 4th picnics.   also, sum locations, played soft ball during summer months, on sunday afternoons, @ local recreational fields.

 

ps:  played golf on a regular basis, for over thirty years, statewide, including various jackleg tournaments, and club championships.   won FEW, several states, include'n home builders association, and AGC local tournaments; mountains 2 coasts.  uno practice round, @ coast, same wife, make QUICK turn golf cart - no warn'n, try'n find lost ball, wife fell out golf cart; onlyest hurt pride. 

 

 

*knocked out, very first play of very first game, wearing 'white buck' DRESS shoes> 1951; parents not invest in feetsball shoes, till know if still wantz to PLAY; yup.
