since most y'all yahoos not know anythink 'bout ole dummy, needs give thumbnail 'bout career background.   summer jobs started, pre driver's license days, with digging ditches and knocking out masonry walls soz elevator could be installed - hammer/chisel (no nose not breath shit mask), then unload box-cars, on railroad siding in old time lumber yard, as a draftsman trainee; load lotS bag cementS, in cars/trucks etcS.  next was in a CHEAP developers office, drafting for a friend; 24' x 24' one story apartments.  also during this time frame, worked @ parents biz, during holidays and week-ends, etc.S.

 

several years college ended abruptly!  went to work for the largest residential developer, in home town, and started as print boy, and draftsman trainee also.  worstest think 'bout all new job "is" always latest/newest 'gofer.'  they also had commercial and light industrial departments, too; all local stuff.

 

after most of decade, went into biz partnership; statewide general contractor, in few years> smalltime stuff, like build on ISLAND - no bridge to or from, huge resort condominium builder> RESORTS, etc.S.  [ old college roommate frat brother, drink'n buddy, double date'n in high school shit, etc.S ]

 

sold out, at end of oil embargo, and downturn economy, finally joined A. A.  :-)

 

[ enjoyed lots european holidays, as well as mexico/canada/caribbean stuffS; privileged perks. ]

 

carter years, we'un's projects pay'n 2.5 over prime, peaked @ 22.5, on multi-million dollyer apartment projects, through my own firm - corporation - DRS.  lots projects, beginning to end> planning, plans, contructionS, FEW cities, NC.  and mortgage rates @ ten percent were hard to find> sum upwards 12/14 and even 16 %.  bye/bye work.

 

END OF CAREER.  butt, learned how read bible.

 

'and then,' learned how design hotel, build model, to scale of same, goZ lotS meet - upS; '88 ish &+.  :-)

 

then write sum books.  then dooz lotS odd jobs, soz eat.  build kiddies back yard wood gym/play house, on stilts.  build (erect) pre-engineered manufactured quality steel storage buildings.  sit on side line hot aug/july day, not sure which, avoid heat stroke> or die.  unload tractor trailer load of materialS, in snow storm.   shut job down, high winds, blowing steel sheets around job site; not want head cut off, yet.  :-)

 

many other odd jobs, like replace water line from crawl space to meter, during winter freeze, labor pool daily hires, paint, clean, move, haul, u-name it, ole dummy likes food/elect/heat/air cond/water, etc.

 

now meat of matters:

over a long career, ole dummy observe lots things in construction industry, from a to z.  one small example, remember working few years, on planning top of line motel; five story.  most renowned arch, in  n. c., then, and he hired most expensive electrical engineer he could find; bigger $ amount in % of their fee.  those elect experts not understand building structure DESIGN, at all.  had to throw away a thirty thousand dollyer set of plans; late 1960's dollyers.

 

and as city halls have evolved, in the forty plus years really active, with their rules/regs, 'bout water and electricity - many changes - over the  course of this web site - it's secret pages - have given the design TEAMS information that will hopefully clear up sum of the global problems with manufactured products, that give home owners headaches; 'partmint dwellers too.  :-)

 

long list of things for committees to undertake, and resolve, butt precisely, think RIGHT about what god's money being spent for, and on.  "really" long term construction products, and techniques.  all aimed at enjoyment and economy of operation, for tenants; residentialS/commercialS.

what ole dummy look forward to most, is attention to detail, given to all sites.  new street pavers, new side walk materials, and plantings, as well as site development features, that will be so enjoyable, think lotS 'bout lush paradisiacal shitZ.  :-)

 

now, they are at the end of the "research" cycle.  lotS has been built, for product final approval shitz, but get out of way, "BIG" starts, all six continents underwayS.  :---)

 

ps:  extreme attention given to maintenance, and avoiding future problems, by using correct materials, and installation procedures, from the get goz; not hav redooz, later onS.  god not like waste dollyers!

 

pps:  lots god's combo'd manufacturing facilities are to be commended, for their excellent attention to detail, through their engineering departments, for problem solvingS, for new globally manufactured GOODS.
