The paradox of our time in history
is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways,
but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less; we buy more, but
enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller
families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less
sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more
problems; more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke
too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get
too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
seldom, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our
possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom,
and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life;
we've added years to life, not life to years. We've been all the way to
the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new
neighbor.
We've conquered outer space, but
not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've
cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've split the atom, but
not our prejudice.
We write more, but learn less. We
plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We
build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than
ever, but have less communication. These are the times of fast foods and
slow digestion; tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow
relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare;
more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.
These are days of two incomes, but
more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days
of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one-night
stands, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet, to kill.
third
step noahhite prayer
"Almighty everlasting Father God, only you know the mess that
mankind has gotten into in the first six days of creation.
"You know that we need the Messiah. We humbly ask that you take
us and create us into the image that you have of us in the family of Christ
Jesus.
"We truly thank you for letting us learn how to let your Holy Name be
glorified. We ask and receive in the name of the Risen Lord Jesus
Christ. Amen."
The preceding prayer is an excerpt from VISION QUEST.
We use this prayer as the third step noahhite prayer. It has also been
used
to open all noahhite gatherings, thus far.
Modern day experts, with the
best knowledge available, of their time, built and navigated the Titanic;
Noah built the Ark.
Seems that there might be a great deal of similarities between Noah and this
scribe, in that I don't know why I am having to do all of this foundation stuff for the
noahhite and fulfilled mansions efforts either. Wonder if Noah asked God
why he was having to build a boat on high ground with no water in sight?
But all of our efforts are based on inspiration, and hope; faith.
And we also believe that in
God's good time, there is going to be one bodacious internal flood, of
his living
water. We do
perfectly understand that since God is changeless, everything in God's last day
of creation is going to change to what God desires. So, our analogy is
that rather than an external flood, that killed all but God's choices, we anticipate
an internal flood, of his living water, for all of God's human animals, of which
we noahhites are the best.
“When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the Flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the Flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes."
(Matthew 24:35-39)
The following paragraphs
are excerpts from the first chapter of HIS FATHER'S TEMPLE.
"For many centuries, since the
beginning of religion, humankind has been taught that creation occurred a
long time ago. We have learned that creation, in the mind of man, is not yet
complete. It is complete in the Mind of God however, but not in
mankind's mind. Old bibles, the King James Version, published around
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven AD, state that the writings in Genesis were
about time, relating to God, as being four thousand and four BC.
"Our proposition that creation
is still ongoing is based on the King James translation of Scripture in 2
Peter 3:8;
But
beloved be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as
a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. "*
*Theologians, from centuries past,
established that Genesis was written circa 4004 BC. When we add 4000 BC
to 2000 AD, we have a perfect six days, by God's calendar.
"At this point in this small
book, we need to comment on what the world calls the Lord's Prayer. At
the Sermon on the Mount, when a disciple asked Him how they should pray, a
prayer was given. It seems as though the whole earth refers to the Lord's
Prayer as the 'Our Father . . . ' prayer. We had to take to our bosom,
with new understanding and discipline, the prayer given to His disciples,
which is mentioned in Luke 11:1-4, in order to head in the direction that His
Father desired."
The preceding quote is from the chapter
about The Rebirth, in HIS FATHER'S TEMPLE.
We close all noahhite gatherings with the
following prayer, which is our favorite prayer of our Lord; John 17:1-12(TB).
"When Jesus had
finished saying all these things, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father,
the time has come. Glorify your Son so he can give glory back to you.
For you have given him authority over everyone in all
the earth. He gives eternal life to each one you have given him. And this is the way to have eternal life - to know
you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by doing
everything you told me to do. And
now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began.
"I have told these men about you. They were in the world, but then you
gave them to me. Actually, they were always yours, and you gave them
to me; and they have kept your word. Now
they know that everything I have is a gift from you, for
I have passed on to them the words you gave me; and they accepted them and
know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me.
"My
prayer is not for the world, but for those you have given me, because they
belong to you. And all of them, since
they are mine, belong to you; and you have given them back to me, so they
are my glory! Now I am departing the
world; I am leaving them behind and coming to you. Holy Father, keep
them and care for them - all those you have given me - so that they will be
united just as we are. During my time here, I have kept them safe. I guarded them so that not one was
lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures
foretold."
