Wonder why a few people think that we ought to do away with the Electoral
College?
Seems that the population centers of New York City, Chicago,
Southeastern
Costal Florida, and Costal California could always be in control of the
Presidency, if the national elections were determined by the popular
vote. Those few massive population centers would definitely
control the White House, in all close elections, if the Presidency were to be decided by the
popular vote, rather than by our constitution's Electoral College.
Should we thank God for the Electoral College?
Wonder what their selfish, self-serving, and self-centered agenda could
possibly be? The road to hell is always paved with good
intentions.
This nation is a representative form of government of
the people, by the people, and for the people; all
people. Our government is not necessarily a democracy! The democracy lies
in the hands of the elected officials, not in the vote of the electorate.
If you do not like the way things are, you need to contact your
representative, to see if they can get the laws changed. And
if you are really into wishful thinking, maybe you need to try and
get an amendment to the constitution approved; ratified by all
