Am surprised that Orlando is not on the list.  But since it is actually comprised of about ten smaller communities, with their own town limits, maybe that is the reason.  Surely though, Orlando has close to a million people, if not more than that, which makes me wonder about the above figures, as to whether or not the smaller communities are included in the numbers of the above cities, which I doubt, and thus considerably distorts all larger cities, toward smaller numbers, than they really represent.

The  web page linked at the end of this paragraph shows about a baker's dozen metro areas make up about 110 million people in the largest metro areas of the United States; one community in Canada is included in the numbers.  But the list of cities, on this web page total under 28 million, for the same cities.  The global communities combine several populations though, in that they consider Baltimore and Washington one metro area.   click to view 100 of the globe's largest metro populations
