way
Should we
start this one with a definition of harm:
1. Physical or psychological injury or damage.
2. Wrong; evil.
Wonder
what makes us humans like to live dangerously? Through no fault of
their own, it has been reported that 250,000 people lost their lives, when
the tsunami hit, the day after Christmas, in 2004. Many people will
still move to coastal areas, because they can't believe that any thing
like that could ever happen to them.
One must
admit that water, especially ocean front or even ocean view property, and
lake or river front property is very desirable too. Let us think for a moment about all of the costal land,
here in the United States of America. There is the East Coast, the
West Coast, and much in the news of late, the Gulf Coast. There are
some very large cities from Seattle to San Diego, Miami to Brownsville,
Texas, and again, Miami to Portland, Maine.
When we
think about it, included in that list of cities are the capitals of the
American revolution, cruise ships, global financial market, exports, imports, oil
imports, politics of the free world, and much much more.
Don't
have a clue about the population of costal and tidal towns and cities, but it does
have a mass of people, considering that New York City is in that group,
not to mention Baltimore, Boston, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Miami, Mobile, New Orleans,
Norfolk, Oakland, Providence, San Francisco, Savannah, Seattle, Wilmington,
and mainland resort areas galore, all across, up, and down the coast
lines, plus all of the resort islands, which are many.
In
addition to the hazards of coastal living, due to the potential of hurricanes
and tsunamis, we need to consider flood plane areas around rivers, bays,
or sounds, earthquake prone areas, volcanic prone
areas, active volcano areas, plus areas prone to drought which cause forest fires to develop out
of control, mud slide areas of unstable soil, and the tornado prone alley areas,
all across and around our county, including it's possessions. In today's world, seems that we
need to add border towns to the list, concerning crime and the invasion of
personal property.
Certainly
other countries have their
alluring prime real estate locations too, that seem to dare the cruelty of
mother nature to harm them, that are generally very popular and populated
areas. America is not alone in this phenomenon.
All we
are trying to do is to make it known that we need God's guidance, when we
establish where we would like to live, build a house, or rent an
apartment, establish a vacation destination, decide on a business trip, ad
infinitum. When we are on the path of anonymous recovery, all of these things
are taken care of, automatically, having prayed the recovery
prayers
(bottom of web page), wholeheartedly and without reservation.
The necessary guidance is there, we just have to
grow spiritually, to discern what the guidance is, and be obedient to it,
based on what we believe,
if we desire what is good for us. When we believe anything, it is
not fact, yet. Another way to state that is to say that we have to
go to the edge of our fears, and take one more step.
Believe
that I remember reading, "I
know your needs, even before you pray,"
in one translation.
Lest we
be criticized for not mentioning the most honorable of those that choose
to go into harm's way, our very brave American military, whom all have volunteered,
in today's military, all we have to say is that not only America, but the
entire world owes a sincere amount of gratitude, for what the American
military has accomplished, based on their overall record. America's record
is clear about liberation, not conquering and dominating.
"I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends if you do what I command." (John
15:11-14)
No wonder there is such
hatred of America, around the globe. Just ask the Sunnis, in Iraq,
who have recently lost control of their eighty year reign, that had unbelievable
corruption, rape, torture, and murder, in recent decades.
And I am
one that agrees that we even won in Vietnam, but Washington, playing
politics, lost their nerve, and thus decided to pull out, which caused
about three million souls to be killed, in Southeast Asia.
Dictatorships are not good, at all. Don't know why the United
Nations condones such brutal treatment of the people, around the globe, in
various countries, that do not have any form of democracy, yet.

In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but
in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the

have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the
shadow of death
a light has dawned.

and increased their joy;

as people rejoice at the harvest,
as men rejoice
when dividing the plunder.

the yoke that burdens them,

the rod of their oppressor.

will be fuel for the fire.

Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end.

establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness

The zeal of the LORD Almighty
will accomplish this.
But now
to tangible truth, about what wholehearted, anonymous, and altruistic
recovery provides. On page 102, in the original anonymous text book,
we find, in the chapter "Working with Others:"
Your job now is to be at the place where you may be of maximum helpfulness to others, so never hesitate to go anywhere if you can be helpful. You should not hesitate to visit the most sordid spot on earth on such an errand. Keep on the firing line of life with these motives and God will keep you unharmed.
