HAPPINESS

Over the years, some of us have heard, many times, "We are sure that God wants us to be happy, joyous, and free." (bigbook pg 133)  Happiness is what this web page is about.

We will not address being free in this topic, but when we were in debt, over our heads, for mortgage payments, car payments, and charge card payments, needless to say, we were not free, and not even eligible to be free enough, to learn how happiness was going to come about.  We were slaves to debt.

Luke 6:22; "What happiness it is when others hate you and exclude you and insult you and smear your name because you are mine!"

     We still cannot imagine what price One paid so that we could be saved. But recently when someone said; "I still do not like being rejected." He was told; "You had better move to another planet."

     Fortunately, for us, this did not last forever. But there was a season of grief. We did not know why we had become so unpopular, having always been able to make close intimate friends in the old life. It was because of the grace of God.

     We can truthfully say that when we started experiencing the treatment of the above Scripture, we were not very happy at all. As time passed, we learned that this was the way to have our emotions redirected. And the process of having all of our emotions tied to Him, rather than to things human or material, and especially to the worldly wise which we were so good at.

     The Kingdom of God is at stake, and we have been chosen to participate in the ushering in of the Millennium Rule of Christ!
