21:25-38
“And
there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth
the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange
tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the
earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then everyone will see
the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So when all
these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is
near!”
Then he
gave them this illustration:
“Notice the fig tree, or any other tree. When the leaves come out, you
know without being told that summer is near. In the same way, when you
see all these things taking place, you can know that the Kingdom of God is
near. I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene
until all these things have taken place. Heaven and earth will
disappear, but my words will never disappear.
“Watch
out! Don’t let your hearts be dulled by carousing and drunkenness, and by
the worries of this life. Don’t let that day catch you unaware, like a
trap. For that day will come upon everyone living on the earth. Keep alert
at all times. And pray that you might be strong enough to escape these
coming horrors and stand before the Son of Man.”
Every day
Jesus went to the Temple to teach, and each evening he returned to spend the
night on the Mount of Olives. The crowds gathered at the Temple early each
morning to hear him.
2 Thessalonians 2 (1-17

The Man of Lawlessness
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers,
not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.
Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.
Don't you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?
And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.
For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.
And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,
and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie
and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
Stand Firm
But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.
He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,
encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.
Will have to admit that the
above quotes are a lot of background, but needed all of it to get us in the
right frame of mind. Recently spoke with an old friend, visiting his
hometown - thanksgiving 06, when he came by the club, while I was doing
my daily coffee supplies and janitorial duties; I still like electricity,
hot water, heat in the wintertime, and air conditioning, in the summertime
etc. His opening comment to me in pivate, after some introductory pleasantries, was, "It would be impossible to accept
all of the things that are going on around the globe without
faith."
North Korea's weapons,
genocide in Darfur, Israel and Palestine's ongoing conflict, Iran's nuclear
desires, Syria's desire to control Lebanon trough Hezbollah, Russia supplying
Iran with close to a billion dollars of military gear, Syria and Iran's
helping terrorists in Iraq, do we need to mention al Qaeda, you won't
believe what the environmentalists are aiming at globally, plus all of
the conspiracy theories which abound about secret organizations aimed at
global domination, and the emerging anti-American leftist coalition in South
and Central America playing cozy with Iran and communist nations.
Let me cut to the chase,
since we had such a long intro. All of you that are seasoned in this
web site must have also bought into the concept that we are at the beginning
of God's last day of creation - the millennium rule of Christ, that is going
to last one thousand years, and only desire the Kingdom of God; 2 Peter
3:8. For six thousand
years - the first six days of God's creation, the
world has only gone one way, since the tree of life was rejected, and the search for the
knowledge of good and evil began. Life to us is spirituality, which
means the privilege of visitations with God, in Christ.
The best way to think about
all of man's knowledge is to consider the best experts and professionals of the day
designed, built, and navigated the Titanic. Nothing has changed,
regarding this world's professionals, that do not depend on God.
Tragedy guaranteed!
Very fortunate for this
believing world is that the elected leader of the free world believes in and
depends on God. It still mystifies me why anyone would be willing to
take such abuse from all of those people that are perishing, because they do
not love truth; Jesus says, "I
am truth."
Maybe one of the most
astonishing things to me is that such hatred comes out of the mouth of those
that hate this man - just as they hated Jesus - only tells me what their heart
is really like, in the spiritual realm. A classic example came out of the 2004 election
cycle. In the line up of the ten challengers on the left, for the
White House, one of the men said, early in the campaign, "George Bush is
a terrible loser." He was the first to be eliminated in the
Democrat's primaries.
But here is the deal.
Satan ruled and had his way for six thousand years, without interference. His greatest
achievement was that he deceived the world into believing that he does not
exist. The truth is that we were born into Satan's world, and that is
why we must be reborn, to be eligible for the family of Christ
Jesus, in
accordance with the scriptures. Sure am glad that all of those
terrorists believe in and love death, rather than life; Jesus states, "I
am life." Since they do not believe in
and are not taught about the rebirth, in Christ, don't guess that we will ever have the opportunity to meet any of
them. Praise God.
Also, anyone committed to
destruction can not be ransomed, they must be put to death, according to
Leviticus. Jesus says that he gave his life, for the ransom of many,
not all.
How about a short list of a few of those committed to destruction:
politics of personal
destruction
abortion community
and their supporters
terrorism and all of their
enablers
dictators or governments
that try to play god - socialism is the chief building block of all communism, the
true cause of all oppression of all human dignity and justice, as well as
the attempted destruction of any or all aspiration
What might seem impossible
is that the United Nations
( read
here ) wants to control the world, with their corruption. The banks want
to control the world's wealth. The medical community wants to control
pain, life, health, weight, looks, and now, even gender; good
news brings good health - "a spiritual mode of living is a most
powerful health restorative" even with the use of tobacco (the
medicine of the leaves) plus, no nightly news - with
their agenda - is very good news indeed, because if it bleeds, it leads.
Jesus knew their ilk, when he said, "Physician, heal
thyself." Terrorists, and Muslims that are united, want to take over the
world and rule it with Sharia law through their caliphate; the Muslim idea of
their "pope." Lawyers want to transfer all of the wealth on
the planet, to the poor, and get their thirty-three percent, along the way;
wonder why Jesus says, "settle your differences out of court." Politicians want to rule the people, in their governments, by
giving them all socialism, by taxing the rich, and rendering all to "unbelievable
poverty;" Cuba and North Korea are two perfect examples. All politicians love Cuba, as their
example of a perfect nation. Hello Jimmy Carter et al, and most members of
the United Nations, and let us not leave out all of the rinos; republicans in name
only. (am
personally pleased that mr. bolton resigned at the UN, because i would not
like to work with a mob of crooks and liars every day either)
In the mind of God, since
the only things that last are faith, hope, and love, and of course the
greatest of those is love, EVERYTHING that is not done in inspired pure faith is
dead and gone, to the bottomless pit, full of hatred. Got it?
And it seems that most of
the people on this planet don't like it that things are now going to aim at
the God of all Gods, for the next thousand years, rather than absolute and total chaos; slums, squalor, lies, deceit, propaganda,
crime, hatred, corruption, unparallel greed for everything that is depraved,
ad infinitum.
But since
the scriptures state that "both heaven and earth shall pass
away," please

note: how truly blessed america has been, to have had mr.
donald rumsfeld as the secretary of the dod. mr. rumsfeld has left
real americans with many fond and wonderful memories. and it is a very good
thing that president bush is grounded in christ too. god is very
pleased with president bush's decisions. like jesus, he does not
care about popularity either; principles before personalities. he is a true statesman, doing what is
best for america, without favor to anyone. the "godless" liberal press/media
though should be ashamed to death. the world is just going to have to
accept the preemptive foreign policy, until "true justice and
peace," through "god's ever expanding peaceful government," have been
taken to All Nations, in accordance with isaiah chapter nine, whether by
force, or by their changing so that all of their people are free, through
some form of real uncorrupt democracy, that their culture will
allow.
ps: i have not
hit anyone, in anger, since i got the crap beat out of me in the third
grade. but i would be willing to change, if i could get close enough
to cold cock the asshole in the white house press core, employed by nbc news.
