The
Anti-Christ
There
seems to be a variety of opinion about this topic. We certainly have
a different take on it, compared to what most of the main stream religious
circles think about it. All of those entities concur, that it is
"out there," or will be "out there," somewhere.
Maybe
some of you remember my favorite comedian, of the seventies, of the last
century, Flip Wilson. When he would do the Geraldine skit, and talk
about, "The devil made me do it," I would generally laugh until
it hurt.
Some do
not believe that there is evil, much less wickedness, in this world.
Why then is there so much criminal activity, around the globe? Why
is there so much murder, spousal abuse, child abuse, armed robbery, rape,
hatred, theft, corruption, bribery, blackmail, and just generally
offensive stuff, like the slave trade of youngsters being sold into prostitution,
drug trafficking, and human trafficking. We are all humans.
What makes us different? But most importantly, what makes us do
those insane things, to other people?
Now, let
us not step on too many toes, but there are domestic issues as well.
Cheating spouses, deception, fooling around etc. Why do we get
married, and think that we will be exempt, from the woes that have plagued
so much of humanity, relative to divorce?
As time
progresses, it seems that there are much worse "crimes," than
there used to be. Everything seems to escalate, given enough time,
for the worse. What started in the seventies, I think, about the
American being killed, on a cruise ship, in the Mediterranean, had people flying planes into tall buildings,
at the turn
of the century, by the same
people; middle eastern militant extremist Arab Muslim terrorists - COLD
BLOODED MURDERS - that are committed to destroying American capitalism,
which is the same goal as all socialists.
But let
us read what the bigbook states about alcoholism, which seems, to me, just
like the rest of the world, left to it's own devices:
All of us felt at times that we were regaining control, but such intervals
- usually brief - were inevitably followed by still less control, which led in time to pitiful and incomprehensible demoralization. We are convinced to a man that alcoholics of our type are in the grip of a progressive illness. Over any considerable period we get worse,
never better.
Who would
have thought that the Oil for Food scandal could have topped the greed of
the Enron's of the world? Doubt that they were all alcoholics, but
they certainly could have been. The point is that this world, since
Adam and Eve were removed from the Garden of Eden, has only gone one
way. It has continued to move away from the availability of the presence
of God, which is a spiritual privilege, internally, considering
what his dearly beloved son was able to achieve; I and the father are one.
Will
admit that this is a stretch, but we need to take a look at it.
After his son was baptized, to
suffering - Matthew
3, the water baptism of John the baptist, is when God declared him his
much beloved son. Now the suffering was not because of what Jesus
had done, it was so that he could learn how to endure pain, so that the
dove of peace could come to Jesus, in spirit, which is an important part
of what this world will grow into, over the next thousand years, as God's
son's spirit grows, in all of the anonymous fellowships.
Any of
ya'll remember reading, "great love and great suffering need
be our only disciplinarians?"
Considering
that anonymous recovery started with two men, and now have heard that there are over
two hundred anonymous fellowships, there will be much spiritual growth, in
the next ten centuries, for sure. Probably like an exponential
curve, hopefully. That means from zero to infinity. And the
truth about that curve is that they all start slow, and gradually build up
to one heck of a crescendo.
But the
point is that each individual has something on the inside of their selves that is opposed to the grace of
God. It has been that way, for a long time. We were all born
with it. It is called the eGo, where each have tried to ease God out
of their life - eGo, whether they were conscious of it or not.
Each time
we tried to depend on anything, other than God, the eGo was
increased. What have we as individuals tried to depend on, as our
life progressed? Greater thrills, greater rewards, greater income,
greater sex, greater risks, greater recognition, greater vacations,
greater bank accounts, greater stock portfolios, greater houses, greater
cars, greater security, ad infinitum. Phooey on all of this darned enthusiastic humble
lowly anonymous servitude stuff, in the altruistic plane, where the gift
of celibacy can be bestowed that can last over a decade at a time. :-)
Now we
need to find out what the eGo wants. Simply put, it wants us dead,
before the Glory of God can be manifested again, in the human body.
Remember Jesus saying that he would rebuild "this temple" in
three days? Well that is the Anti-Christ, the eGo; the self which is
the lower nature of man, that wants all dead literally, as well as
spiritually.
The
Christ was fully manifested in Jesus Christ, and will be fully manifested
in Christ Jesus, in one thousand years, the last day, or the seventh day
of God's creation.
So, with
the spiritual awakening, God desires for us to be reborn into the family
of Christ Jesus, the new-Jerusalem, made up of His Jews, which are his
chosen with the new pure spiritual heart, because all can be trusted and counted on as His
servants. Need we mention that generally, servants are the lowest
paid people on this planet?
Seems that the only avenue that is
available, for this type of punishment, which is really the highest
calling that God has, is the anonymous path to a faith that works, in good
times as well as bad. But be wary. There are many more people
on the boulevard that are going a different direction than we are headed,
even in the anonymous rooms of recovery, sadly.
God's
