Jesus asked, "How can I describe the Kingdom of God?  What story should I use to illustrate it?   It is like a tiny mustard seed.  Though this is one of the smallest of seeds, it grows to become one of the largest of plants, with long branches where birds can come and find shelter.  Mark 4:30-32

about  failed  government  bureaucracies

lest anyone think that i am negative, please view this video; 9/11/07.  time has come to bring america's governmental agencies into the twenty-first century.  it will not be easy.  that is why so many people hated mr. rumsfeld, as the sec. of defense.  he had to drag the military into the new century, with people kicking, screaming, and dragging their feet, trying to protect their turf.  but selfish politics must be a part of american history - gone, for this to be possible!

a few years ago, in a conversation with my daughter, about politics, she said that she would like to understand them better than she did.  folks, i am sixty-six years old, and am finally beginning to get a handle on how corrupt our government bureaucracies really are.  have said that one of the world's biggest problems is politics, but that is not true.  the biggest problem is corrupt politics.  that is, when one party is elected, but the bureaucracies don't like the agenda that the people elected, and do everything in their power to go against their elected leader's policies.

selfish politics, in my opinion, are bad and evil, but there are people that are not elected - they are appointed, and through self-will, they put their crap in the fray, with leaks, intended to render the elected leader's agenda worthless.  that is wicked!  and the reason that they do this is based on what their personal politics are, that are in opposition to the elected leaders convictions.  talk about trying to play god, they have taken that concept to a new level.

one minor example of "trying to play god" is at this link.

for four decades the democrat's party controlled washington.  they, democrats, permeate all levels, from the lowest level to the highest levels, in each bureaucracy.  we are now in a new century, and there is an informative video on "youtube," talking about a government that fails, at every turn, and a system that really works, at this link.  the video is entitled, "FedEx vs. Government Bureaucracy."  and when someone is sent in to get things turned around, they are drummed out of their job, by what ever means needed, through politics of personal destruction, with the help of the MSM - mainstream media.  thank god jesus says, in a variety of his statements in the four gospels, "don't be afraid."  don't know when, but somebody is going to need a lot of spic and span, when it does hit the fan.

the real reason for this web page is based on an article that states eleven trillion dollars have been spent on "the war on poverty," since the middle of the sixties, in the last century, that the former president johnson signed into existence.  the bad news is that there really hasn't been much change, since the late sixties.  and now several candidates want to throw more money at poverty.  if i am not mistaken, don't believe that the national debt has reached eleven trillion dollars, yet.

not only has that been a perfect waste of money, it violated the constitution of the united states of america, relative to "congress shall pass no laws establishing a national religion."   when all poor people were given a chance to depend on the government, for their existence, rather than let god provide it through work, that indeed was a national religion for all poor and lazy people, black and white, not to mention all of the criminals that figured out how to manipulate the system into corruption, through faulty claims and payments, in the billions and billions of dollars each and every year.

i know about poverty.  in my old life, have spent more in one month than i have had available to spend in over fifteen years of my god given poverty.  and in recent years, have tried to live on social security.  lost phone, cable, internet etc.  and even had to do janitorial work an hour a day, seven days each week, for friends, so the heat, air conditioning, and hot water could be enjoyed.  that lasted about fourteen months.  the only thing that can be said about poverty is that it still sucks.

and i wholeheartedly disagree with religious people that say god wants everybody to be rich.  that is true, but not in the worldly materialistic realm.  god wants us to be rich in his heavenly spiritual realm.  that requires a spiritual awakening, a scriptural rebirth, and an entire change of heart and mind.  and the only avenue for us is love and service, as lowly servants, in the appropriate anonymous fellowship.  not a privileged life of fame and fortune, with it's commensurate prestige.

but that path is only for those of us that want to learn how to really live.  jesus says, "I am life."
