The meek shall inherit the earth

Maybe, the best way to start this opinion, is to provide a definition of meek, and some synonyms.

dictionary.com:

1. humbly patient or docile, as under provocation from others. 
2. overly submissive or compliant; spiritless; tame. 
3. Obsolete. gentle; kind. 

Synonyms 1. forbearing; yielding; unassuming; pacific, calm, soft. See gentle.

1. Showing patience and humility; gentle. 
2. Easily imposed on; submissive.

Since these are very desirable traits, for recovery, let us see where we are coming from, relative to their opposites, their Antonyms.

arrogant, assertive, bold, high and mighty, overbearing, not sorry, proud, unremorseful

Lets try to set the record straight about spiritless and it's companions.  There is our human spirit, but also, there is God's Spirit.  For those of that are really into anonymous recovery, from our fatal malady, we are given a spiritual awakening.  The Father's Son, says:

Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last. (Luke 23:46 NIV)

Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last. (Luke 23:46 NLT)

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. (Luke 23:46 KJV)

Let us briefly touch on the condition of the human spirit: terrorists, politicians, liars, deceivers, rapists, criminals, ad-infinitum, but you get the picture.  Please keep in mind that my favorite comedian of the last century said, "The devil made me do it," referring to an obnoxious episode that he/she had experienced the night before.

So, we have a not so good spirit, and a desirable spirit.  One leads to death, and one leads to God's Spirit, that yields eternal life.  We do not know how to manage our lives to get to eternal paradise.  In paradise, it seems that it is going to be one very expensive setting, relative to the streets of gold etc.

Now to the reason for our topic, on this web page:  the meek shall inherit the earth.  Since the scriptures state that both heaven and earth shall pass away, surely, the statement is symbolic as to the value of the earth, rather than inheriting something that will no longer exist.  Let us now quote from our moon web page, items 15-17:

15. but here is the deal.  god gives poor people faith.  and they have not a clue as to what that really means, at all.  all poor people, that are godly, THE MEEK, understand that their true and real inheritance is in their lord, signed, sealed, and delivered, without a doubt.  and the meek shall inherit the earth.  not necessarily an inheritance concerning this world - because both heaven and earth shall pass away, but don't leave yet.  lets give them some real hope about what real value to the lord really means.  of course, that value is symbolic, not factual.  and we must all get this right, of course, when we are supposed to.

16. this scribe asks a question.  what might be the difference in value between a fully developed earth, on six of the continents, and an undeveloped earth, or even worse, an earth full of slums - provided free of charge by all dictators (totalitarianism) and communism - socialism, with no pristine cities etc.  with no diamonds, crystal, china, silverware, fancy rugs exported around the globe, for glorious floors, supporting beautiful furniture, with the finest of man made fabrics, the likes that have never been seen yet, the finest of linens, and gold etc.  not to mention the adornments of clothing, shoes, hats, and jewelry, if they are to let god be glorified, rather than to let human ego participate in their own selfish, self-centered pride; i know that i am a lot better than you are, by god, just look at ME.

17. quite a difference isn't there?  so, we must get through to the world that we must work together so that all things can be accomplished, that need to be accomplished, for the maximum possible asset, for god's maximum value.  you are included in  his inheritance too, whether you understand it yet or not.  but a new form of capitalism - globalization, is needed to yield pristine cities and communities, for the glory of god.  and certainly ALL corruption in all governments, and their respective political parties, must end, before any real reform is even available to begin.  this scribe still believes that america's roll is mandatory, and someday, will be the light for all nations of the world.  the only reason i believe that is that america is dedicated to god - by the early pilgrims, not satan.  but the new capitalization concept will need to function like a living entity.  it too must give a percentage of it's profits as an offering and not through taxation, for the good of the community - not government, cheerfully, so that god will continue to bless their efforts.

 

The rest of the comments on this web page are about those that are to be born of water and Spirit; God's chosen.  We are not saying that all must be reborn.  But we are saying that if we have every thing that we want, there is no need for God.  It is incomprehensible, to me, that multimillionaires, or billionaires, would ever possibly need God.  Jesus says that we are not of this world.

What I can testify to is that when I do not know where the next meal is coming from, I really don't have many concerns at all.  And I have definitely been there, in my God given homeless poverty.  And in those precarious times, God has my undivided attention.

Both you and the new man must walk day by day in the path of spiritual progress. If you persist, remarkable things will happen. When we look back, we realize that the things which came to us when we put ourselves in God's hands were better than anything we could have planned. Follow the dictates of a Higher Power and you will presently live in a new and wonderful world, no matter what your present circumstances!  (bigbook pg 100)

It is during those times that I begin to understand what Jesus said about, "come unto me..... I am humble."

The most important thing about anonymous recovery is that the more we learn how to be anonymous, the more God's Son's spirit can come to the front of our being, and of course, since the son said, "The father and I are one," hidden in the son's spirit is indeed God's Spirit, at the end of the rebirth process.

When we sincerely took such a position, all sorts of remarkable things followed. We had a new Employer. Being all powerful, He provided what we needed, if we kept close to Him and performed His work well. Established on such a footing we became less and less interested in ourselves, our little plans and designs. More and more we became interested in seeing what we could contribute to life. As we felt new power flow in, as we enjoyed peace of mind, as we discovered we could face life successfully, as we became conscious of His presence, we began to lose our fear of today, tomorrow or the hereafter. However: "Some of us have tried to hold on to our old ideas and the result was nil until we let go absolutely." (bigbook pg 58)

scribe's note:  even though we no longer make things happen, it takes a good while to learn how to just let things happen - "Let go and let God," in god's good time, with out any assistance from us.  but it was not easy!  every thing that we let go of had claw marks on it, except for those of us that still chewed our fingernails.
