Scripture:  2 Corinthians 5:11-21  (NIV)

The Ministry of Reconciliation

Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

comment:  about being out of our mind.  one of my favorite expressions, that has been heard over the years is, "of all the things that i have lost, it is my mind that i miss the most."  on our bible study web page on experience, it mentions that some of us needed one hell of a brain washing.

but that is why the "doctor's opinion" states that we need an entire physic change.  but don't get in a hurry.  in the chapter "into action," it states. in the promises - ninth step, "Our whole attitude and outlook on life will change."  quite a bit of difference compared with, "selfish -- self-centeredness!  that we think is the root of our troubles;" bigbook page 62.   as a matter of fact, the difference between self-centeredness, and outlook yields an entirely different world.   practice, practice, practice guys and gals.

but this begs the question, what actions are we really into?  are we loyal and faithful to anonymous recovery?  are we willing to become well informed members, of what the literature states, in each fellowship, and carry that message, rather than our opinion?  are we really willing to let spiritual principles, disregarding personalities, guide our lives?

there is a very old expression, if you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

oh how well we understand that.  "circumstances made us willing," too.

but there are a tremendous amount of peoples, globally, that will be perfectly disappointed.  jesus gave his life for the ransom of "many."  those "many" are the only ones that make up the ALL, in the mind of Christ, ergo god.  all are numbered, and their names are written in the book of life.  none can be committed to destroying life, and expect to receive eternal life, with a plea bargain, like the screwed up judicial community has become.  what fools.  doubt than any of the lying trial lawyers or prosecutors will ever make it, period.  nor the greenies - environmentalists - that want to save an owl, but don't care about human life, except to tyrannize it.

read an article, recently, that said that small children were coming home from school, crying, because they had been taught that we were killing the polar bears - because of global warming.  if any of you have young children, or nieces, or nephews, please get involved with what they are learning in america's corrupt public school system.  think about it folks, we are talking about several generations of kids at risk because they are being programmed only with propaganda.  

let me tell you where it is headed, without grace.  winston churchill's name has been eliminated from the brit's literature, for school kids.  by far, he was the most cherished hero of all times, especially in england.  the liberals hate prosperity - for you.  they hate winners - all of them are whiners.  they hate god - and love satan.  they hate liberty and freedom - tyranny is their only game.  they hate brave heroes that are willing to lay down their lives, for their friends - all they know how to do is insult them.  their only heroes are those that love money - hello mr. soros.  the only ones that they promote, protect, and love, the most, tell the biggest lies or violate the most laws - I am truth.

they can only control and tyrannize the dumb, and ignorant.  and they definitely intend to dumb down all students, even in college now.  that is where truth can not be allowed to be mentioned, at all, in any public forum what so ever!  if it is not propaganda, it is out of here.  hell, they don't even want a debate.  they just don't want us to talk, period.  most radio talk show hosts call them stallinists.  that is why god says in 2 peter 3:8, "beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing...." (kjv)

but god is going to change that too - public school systems, when he is supposed to, through grace.

danny sent me an e-mail, during the 2004 election cycle, that had a comment made by a government official, in 1944, that stated, "it is impossible to win a debate with any person that is ignorant."  they are closed minded, and will not listen to reason, no matter what is said.  well, i used to be like that too.  one of my many stupid mottos was, "don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up."

aren't we glad that we have resigned from the debating society?
