Scripture:  1 Corinthians 15:45-53  (NIV)

The Scriptures tell us, "The first man, Adam, became a living person." But the last Adam—that is, Christ—is a life-giving Spirit. What came first was the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later. Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven. Every human being has an earthly body just like Adam’s, but our heavenly bodies will be just like Christ’s. Just as we are now like Adam, the man of the earth, so we will someday be like Christ, the man from heaven.

What I am saying, dear brothers and sisters, is that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. These perishable bodies of ours are not able to live forever.

But let me tell you a wonderful secret God has revealed to us. Not all of us will die, but we will all be transformed. It will happen in a moment, in the blinking of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, the Christians who have died will be raised with transformed bodies. And then we who are living will be transformed so that we will never die. For our perishable earthly bodies must be transformed into heavenly bodies that will never die.

comment:  during my evangelical days, remember being at a sunday non-denominational service, and the preacher/pastor started, after the cymbals, drums, trumpet et al (psalm 150 - fuck organs that put us to sleep, at worship services), by saying, 'am terrified that i heard that my wife, at last week's prayer meeting with you ladies, called you dignified.  we need to go back over here to genesis such and such, and here it says, that adam was created from the dust of the ground, just pure ole dirt.  now let's go over here to genesis so and so, where it says that eve was created out of adam's rib.  so, if you ladies are dignified, you are nothing but just ole dignified dirt.'

guess what ole dummy did?  my one second of fame!  yelled out, "amen brother!"  the camera panned around, to focus on me, and i just sat there because the congregation was perfectly silent.  and of course, they all turned around to see what fool was amongst them.  guess that they do not like peanut galleries.

now to the topic, for this dissertation.  over the years, have heard much about soul mates.  good for all of them.  have even heard many theories, about we chose to come to earth, and even chose our parents, in co-mission with the coming of christ.  regardless of that, the following is our focus, and our hope.

the point is that the concept of adam, and his help-mate is still in play, since christ is the last adam.  no, we do not have any proof of our theory.  but what we are confident about, is that we do not want to be hindrance mates, nor do we want UNGODLY hindrance mates either; divorce all of the bitches and bastards, unless of course, you are one yourself, and you deserve each other - marriage is about holy matrimony, quit deceiving yourselves.  hindrance mates will never be allowed, in paradise, god's third heaven.
