scribe's
note: remember reading, many years ago, in one
translation, "God
planned a long time ago, that these lives were to be spent
in helping others."
To
be helpful is our only aim. (bigbook
pg 89)
sure
do hope that the Air Force does not mind our using their motto.
but we concur. we believe that all human beings should "aim
high, and be all you can be." that is very good advice.
but
for those of us that are on a path to god, we need to consider this
world versus the kingdom of god. please be assured that when an
individual is called, for god's plan and purpose, the following is also
truth. the higher you are, the longer and harder you fall, and
finally hit, the good ole earth. SPLAT! how well i know
that, first hand! the bigbook states that "we are sure that
god would like for us to keep our feet planted firmly on this
earth. that is where our fellow travelers are, and that is where our work must
be done." or something close to that. :-)
our
efforts are about creating an atmosphere that will allow, for all who
are earnest, an environment that will encourage all souls learning how
to love god with all of their mind, all of their strength, all of
their might, and all of their heart. also, it is about what the bigbook states, in the chapter,
"a vision for you." "you will learn the full
meaning of 'love thy neighbor as thy self.'"
here
is the deal. one of the traditions states that "our leaders
are but trusted servants." that is what all of our
developments will focus on, servitude,
not how much money can be made, nor how much
prestige can be amassed. these facilities are going to need a lot of
servants. let us state that we understand that servants are some
of the lowest paid people on this planet. the good news is that
the lowest among us will receive identical pay, as the chief executive
officer; ceo.
admittedly,
the ceo will have perks that the newest janitor, maid, or yardman will
not enjoy, yet, but we will all make the same amount of money, each week,
except the founder, this scribe. must have done something that
made god mad, because he will not let me have a salary. saint paul
said, "when you have god, you have enough." :-)
but
our focus is about the holy word of god. some of the verses that
helped to form our thinking about our pay are as follows:
those
that humble themselves shall be exalted. and those that exalt
themselves shall be humbled.
if
you want to be great among many, you must be a servant to them all.
your
attitude must be the same as mine. i gave my life for the ransom
of many.
you
will either love god and hate money, or you will love money and hate
god.
we
are not ready to start hiring yet because most of the beginning slots
for the hometown
facilities
have staff members identified - if they will accept the offer.
more jobs will be available, when it is operational; two years plus or
minus.

our
only policy about publicity, since we are all
anonymous, if approached by any media or press person, will always be,
"thank you for asking, but since we are in the process of on going negotiations, all that you need to know
will be a matter of public record, at the appropriate
time."
