don't have a clue about where this is going, and don't know what the title is, yet.  but am thinking about dangerous times, around the globe, here at the somewhat beginning of the twenty-first century, and of course, have the government on my mind also.

socialism is godlessness personified

somewhere around the middle of July - 07, read where either Wisconsin's, or Minnesota's, congress had a desire to vote "universal health care" into their constitution, for all of their folks, proposed by the dems.  don't remember all of the facts accurately, but the jest was that the program that the dems came up with would cost the state thirteen billion dollars, each year, over and above what there existing obligations are.

today, the state has a total tax revenue of eight billion dollars, in a good economy.  maybe this commentary needs to be put in the insanity community of topics, on our web site.  the day-dreams of the dems, in washington, are going to be our nightmare, if we are not careful.

considering that there are about five and a half million folks in either of those states, 54.54 times 5.5 million - three hundred million folks in america - gives us a quick look at what national health care might cost; 709 billion, per year.

and when we consider how well government is handling the border issues, with just twelve million folks, and how dysfunctional the justice-legal system has become relative to not being able, or even unwilling to keep the united states of america citizens safe, and how divided and corrupt the bureaucracies have become, what in hell makes any human being think that the government can even begin to think about taking care of anything as important as your health?

another thing that mystifies me is that the conservatives, even rush limbaugh, dr. bill bennett, and laura ingraham, probably the most listened to, and admired by many, don't even address the following issue, in their day to day discourse on current events.  even ann coulter doesn't seem to address the most crucial aspect of america's most dangerous enemy, socialism, in many of her interviews, or dissertations.

some people call conversation "intercourse."  thought that i should just throw that in, since i must be really way far right of those other right wing folks, which i truly love, admire, respect and listen to.  but if you would like to hear someone as far right as i am, check out one of his "steams," in the left panel near the bottom of the web page at this link.

must give ann credit though, because she wrote a book entitled "godless."  haven't read it, and have not a clue about it's contents, but really, this article is about godlessness, in a variety of issues.  also, suspect that the tragedy of interstate 35W is playing a big part of the impetus for this web page.  god bless all of those suffering souls.

lastly, we need to state that some have already mentioned raising taxes, mentioned by newt, in his weekly "winning the future" article which we quote excerpts from, in which he mentions an excellent op-ed piece , in the wall street journal, about "how to keep our bridges safe."  newt's quote is as the bottom of this web page, and is not included in our "word count total web page;" also, we have a site at a glance web page.

with that background in place, let us get started, on our topic, "godlessness."

several things are becoming clear to me.  first, the dems do not want an educated electorate.  they want people dumbed down, so that they will still vote for the dems.  that is why the dems love and support the teacher's union's leadership, and corruption.  this article about winston churchill being removed from the brit's school literature tells us where america is headed - in principle, left unchecked, not to mention what inroads islam is making, into our public school system, which is also terribly DANGEROUS.

next, it really torments me that so few people here in america really understand what socialism is doing to america.  i cannot be too hard on all of those good souls however, since i am a lot older than MOST of them, so, the shame should be on me, that i have not spoken out sooner.  in truth though, the media does not give us any helpful truth what so ever, about anything, and it takes untold hours of research, to form conclusive evidence, for an inquiring mind.  jesus says, "I am truth."

it seems that all the media is interested in is ratings, ergo profit, and the sound bytes are just aimed at what will get viewers, so they can make more money, and we sit out here in the wilderness, just watching the world go by, while we watch nothing news, that can spin something a thousand different ways.  any of y'all ever heard the media's motto: "if it bleeds, it leads?"  the good news is that only about four million people watch news casts, combined - plus or minus in any given hour, on cable television, out of a population of three hundred million.  likewise, only about twenty million - plus - watch broadcast news programs, on a nightly basis, combined.  have heard that the limbaugh radio program gets that many listeners, each and every day.

this begs the question, which alphabet broadcast corporation will convert to a conservative perspective, or are they going to have to face the decline in advertising revenue, like the newspapers?  with rush as an example, seems as thought they would like to dump the dems, and get on board with truth, to boost their bottom line.

remember being on the "costa del sol," close to forty years ago, and being told about a fort that was built in the seventh century, while we were visiting the site.  when i though of how young america was, history became an interesting topic to me.  but it had not become an important topic, yet.  my career really hadn't even taken off at that point in my life, which did occur about five years later.

germany was a socialist nation, under hitler.  of course, also, the USSR was a communist nation, made up of socialism, when it collapsed.  today, i consider socialism the politics of envy and selfishness; godlessness.  seems as though many are even now ashamed of socialism, and rather than call themselves liberals but certainly not socialists, they now like to be considered as "progressives."

we need to think of secular progressives as progressing without god, therefore godlessness.  the problem is that if it is not progressing with god, it is definitely progressing with satan, and that is what all socialism is about.

tobacco has been in the process - progress to many - of being replaced with medicine; god grows tobacco, money grows medicine.  jesus says that we will either love god and hate money, or we will love money and hate god.

the killing of over forty million babies, in the womb, is modern progress for women.  and how about killing a baby that is half way out of the womb, that they call "partial birth abortion" that i choose to call MURDER.  seems to me that they are no different than the terrorists, in so far as killing an innocent unsuspecting soul.  any of y'all out there agree with that concept?

taking prayer out of schools is certainly progress for all atheists.  marriage for couples of the same sex is one of the many demands of the progressives; doubt that they will be blessed in holy matrimony, however.  and now they want kids in kindergarten to have sex education classes.  need anymore examples about progressing, without god?

so, what is your conclusion of what the repercussions of socialism was, for germany and russia?  even though the politicians are god's to their people, only the politicians and the corrupt prosper.  the poor keep getting poorer, and are entitled to more and more poverty, until it gets to squalor, like cuba, palestine, or north korea.

to put this into proper perspective, we need to introduce a paragraph from the bigbook, in the "doctor's opinion," in which we will replace, or supplant words about it's subject, words that relate to the far "wrong" wing of the democrat's party.  recently heard that the "move-on dot org" crowd said, "we bought it.  we paid for it.  we own it; the dem's party.  and we are taking it back;" or something close to that.

the truth is that they will take it to it's own death, if the decent dems don't get on board for civility, and american values.  but any group of people that support the principle of intentionally lying to a federal grand jury, or a federal judge, will continue in their guaranteed extermination.

the pain involved in reversing a course however is perfectly excruciatingly painful, in that it is perfect truth, "circumstances made us willing."

Men and women drink essentially because they like the effect produced by alcohol - political power. The sensation is so elusive that, while they admit it is injurious, they cannot after a time differentiate the true from the false. To them, their alcoholic life - former power in washington, d. c. - seems the only normal one. They are restless, irritable and discontented, unless they can again experience the sense of ease and comfort which comes at once by taking a few drinks (being in charge of both houses of government, and the white house)-drinks which they see others taking with impunity. After they have succumbed to the desire again, as so many do, and the phenomenon of craving develops, they pass through the well-known stages of a spree, emerging remorseful, with a firm resolution not to drink again; show their angry obnoxious ass again. This is repeated over and over, and unless this person can experience an entire psychic change there is very little hope of his recovery; displaying sanity

but if america does not divorce itself from socialism - all of the existing programs that take away your freedoms including electing socialist politicians, that is where we are headed; tyranny.  it seems to me that it is up to conservative talk radio, to educate the voting public.  television time is just too expensive.  no wonder the dems want to bring back the "fairness doctrine," which most understand is the unfair doctrine.  they can see the hand writing on the wall, and are scared to death of what talk radio can do to their policies, and agenda.  and certainly, conservative talk radio needs to continue to grow.

of course, the dems have control over the school system teaching "political correctness," communism, hate america, along with hollywood, the MSM, and all higher education, but they do not want to control nor eliminate those affirmative socialist outlets, for their tyrannical agenda; they also control PBS.

the only tactic that the left ever uses, for all of their success, in their eyes, is intimidation.  just look at all of the "free speech" conservative guests that are harassed, at MOST college campuses, during their speech.  and heard recently, a day or so after the iranian president was given cart blanch, the college administration canceled the former "hammer" of the house, mr. delay's talk, invited by the campus republicans, at a scheduled event at a southern campus.  they hate truth, they will not allow truth, they despise truth, to be allowed in any way shape or form!  the delusion that these people suffer under is beyond comprehension, but there is no greater devil in america.  god is love, and jesus says i am truth.  (9.26.07)

but possibly, the greatest hope for the next election cycle - and beyond, which might just be a sleeper at the moment, is "american solutions," which is trying to rise above a red or blue america to a red, white, and blue america.  their approval stats - polls - are about seventy-five percent (plus) for and twenty-five percent (minus) against.  people are ready for a government that works.  of course, that is tied into, or a part of, "winning the future," for america.

their goal is to attract american citizens to form, to address local issues that do not work, and attack washington from the bottom, rather than the top, considering that there are over a half million politicians in america, rather than try to expect or effect any changes in the five hundred plus politicians, in washington.  (maybe like the recent border and immigration issues, at the local levels.)

statesmen (states-people for the politically correct cult) do what is right for their country, not their party.  and polls be damned.  have heard that the first thing that a politician does, upon arriving in washington, is to go to school, on how to get re-elected.  lest anyone think that i am biased, there are a number of republicans that are politicians too.

the point of all this minutia is that "the war on poverty" has already cost america eleven trillion dollars, according to some people.  don't believe that the national debt has reached that amount yet (The current debt limit is $8.965 trillion - sept.07).  but all social programs turn into programs that "breed" criminals, en mass!  [sept. 27, 07 new us debt ceiling: $9.815 trillion]

the deaths in new orleans, this year - 07 - is by far the highest rate per one hundred thousand, in the nation.  and had they been able to handle the legal reporting last year, they would have been in the top ten most dangerous cities, but they were in such disarray, they were left out of that group.

please notice the murder rate in the gore bush counties, reported at the end of the 2000 election cycle.  today, the murder rate in new orleans is seventy per one hundred thousand.

the point is that due to "socialist" spending, for the poor, promoted by all liberals, now called progressives, new orleans should be a bastion of utopia.  but it actually represents the worst of what socialist policies will most assuredly do to every community, that participates in the largess of what our government can do through socialist programs.

and the media is full of the dem's hallucinations and fantasies about all of the new taxes that are on the way to us unsuspecting souls, if they stay in power, so they can come up with more social programs, for the wealthy needy.

the recent border issues, to me, were about the trial lawyers trying to come up with ways that would make the profits of the oil industry look like peanuts or pocket change.  as a matter of fact, the trial lawyers want to treat terrorism as a crime, so they can get their thirty-five to forty percent take, that the government has to pay, if they do not have money.  got it?

that is why they want the patriot act decimated, or off the books completely, and the fisa law in full force, because they do not have access to the terrorists yielding them access to the government's check book, yet.  and that is why the dems love the lawyers so much, which supply such a large percentage of their funds for their re-election campaigns.  you do not have enough time for me to expound on "class action law suits."

suffice it to say that in a class action suit, in a deep southern state, the plaintiffs received about seven thousand dollars each.  the trial lawyers received four million dollars each.  and the guy that headed up the tobacco class action suit made over a billion, on the one suit, while all of his subordinates made $117,000 per hour.  wonder if they really cared about anybody's health?

and when we think of what the medical costs are, seventeen percent of a thirteen trillion dollar economy, it makes one shudder.

now, let us get to the meat of the matter.  have mentioned professionals for a purpose.  the most educated professionals, of their day, designed, built, and navigated the "titanic."  got the picture?  anyone, professional or not, that does not learn how to depend on god is really screwed.  (some ladies may read this, so had to tone it down a bit.)  :-)

in 1912, on april 15th, when the titanic went down, there were 1,507 souls that lost their lives.  there were just over two billion people in the world, at that time.  on a proportional basis, that means that with six and a half billion people, in today's world, that right at five thousand people would have lost their life, in a comparable tragedy.  admittedly, the tsunami needed much coverage, but there were over 200,000 that lost their lives, based on the latest toll that i remember.

the media has become so manic and sensational about news, that generally doesn't mean a damn thing, except they are going to make more money on that nonsense, we need to implore god's blessings on all of our efforts.

let us quote something from the bigbook, found on page eighty-five, in the chapter "into action:"

It is easy to let up on the spiritual program of action and rest on our laurels. We are headed for trouble if we do, for alcohol is a subtle foe. We are not cured of alcoholism. What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition. Every day is a day when we must carry the vision of God's will into all of our activities. "How can I best serve Thee - Thy will (not mine) be done." These are thoughts which must go with us constantly. We can exercise our will power along this line all we wish. It is the proper use of the will.

scribe's note:  if you are not in a twelve step anonymous program, please visit this link.

seems that it is time to wrap this one up.  jesus states, "settle your differences out of court."  he also says, "physician, heal thyself."  so much for professionals.

in 1980, was in a civil suit, which had me enjoined because i was the developer and owner, in which one of the tenants had lost a quarter of a million dollars due to smoke damage to their inventory, caused by an electrical fire, which was the result of the backwater from hurricane frederick in 1979, shorting out the electrical transformer, owned by the electrical co-op.

the defense lawyer shouted "mistrial," when the answer to the question of "when did you establish the amount of the smoke damage," with the reply of "when the insurance company said that they were not going to pay the claim."

in other words, even though we place our hand on the good book, we are not even allowed to tell the truth in court, because of political correctness, having sworn to tell the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me god.  what a joke.

hope that we do not have to experience that type of godlessness much longer.  the millennium rule of christ states that he will take true justice and peace to all nations, in the ninth chapter of the book of isaiah, praise god.

The Minneapolis Bridge, Katrina and the World That Fails

From Newt Gingrich
August 7, 07

The tragic collapse of the Interstate 35W Bridge has created substantial challenges for the people of Minneapolis. First is the challenge to complete the recovery effort. But then there will be the importance of mobilizing quickly to rebuild this critical artery as efficiently as possible. Minnesota Gov. Pawlenty (R) has already asked his congressional delegation for "prompt assistance to cut through any red tape at the federal level." The loss of this major route from downtown should not cause the residents of Minneapolis to endure a needlessly lengthy bureaucratic rebuilding project best exemplified by both the dismal response to Hurricane Katrina and the insufficient effort to rebuild the Gulf Coast. Moreover, people should not be re-victimized by using this tragedy as an excuse to raise taxes.

There are at least three case studies in which we find that, with the application of the appropriate emergency powers, innovation and the right incentives, an emergency project like the I-35W Bridge can be safely completed in record time and at the least cost to the taxpayers.

Solutions for Faster Bridge Building at Lower Costs and Enormous Savings to the Economy and to the People at Large

If the lessons in the following case studies are applied inMinneapolis, they will save an amazing amount of time, and for the Minnesota economy, they will be an enormous benefit without compromising safety.

CASE NO. 1: I-10 RECONSTRUCTION AFTER NORTHRIDGE, CALIF., EARTHQUAKE
Within seconds, the Northridge earthquake (6.7 on the Richter scale) in January 1994 reduced the overpass bridges of Interstate 10 to rubble. I-10 was one of the most heavily trafficked freeways in the nation, a major avenue for commerce and commuting. Gov. Pete Wilson's (R) office estimated that each day I-10 was not rebuilt cost Los Angeles $1 million in unrealized productivity, gas, delays and shipping costs.

Lesson 1: Emergency Powers for a Governor Can Expedite Recovery. The California Government Code confers upon the governor emergency powers, including legal authority to suspend burdensome regulations for the duration of the emergency. Gov. Wilson was advised that repair of the bridges to restore use of I-10 would require two years and two months because of the extended public hearing requirements imposed by law. The governor promptly suspended the operation of these requirements.

The Big Lesson: Incentive Contracting Can Speed Performance. Gov. Wilson added a bonus/penalty condition to the bridge reconstruction bidding: For each day in advance of the agreed upon completion date, the winning bidder would receive a bonus of $200,000 (substantially less than the $1 million estimated economic cost suffered for each day I-10 was closed); and for each day that the contractor was late, the contractor would incur a penalty of $200,000.

The winning bidder, CC Myers, Inc., made almost as much on the bonus as he did on the bid -- and I-10 was restored to public use not in two years and two months but in two months and two days. The job was finished 74 days ahead of the June 24, 1994, deadline.

The result: A reduction in time of approximately 85% from what was initially estimated and an economic savings of $59.5 million dollars.

CASE NO. 2: OAKLAND BRIDGE RAMP RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CALIFORNIA
In April 2007, a gasoline tanker truck crashed into a ramp in Oakland that connected the East Bay to San Francisco, forcing drivers to take a slower commute. Bay Area residents planned for a lengthy inconvenience, as the repairs were expected to take 50 days and cost more than $5 million. However, effective incentives offered by the state led to a far more efficient outcome than anyone expected.

Lesson 2: Serious Problems Merit Serious Response. Within 24 hours of the accident, the federal government approved emergency reconstruction money, and the state soon settled on a design plan. The winning contractor was, again, CC Myers, Inc. CC Myers had workers and equipment on the scene 15 minutes before the actual contract was signed. Shop drawings were approved in hours, not months, and state inspectors were flown to Stinger Welding to oversee quality control. From the start, Mr. Myers had his crew working 12-hour shifts around the clock.

Big Lesson Redux, Incentives Produced Speed. The California Department of Transportation estimated the cost of repairs at $5.2 million and a total time of 50 days, setting a deadline for completion of June 26. It promised a $200,000 bonus for every day short of this deadline, not to exceed a total of $5 million. The highest bid was $6.4 million, while CC Myers's Inc's bid was less than $900,000.

The result: The repairs were completed in 17 days -- almost three times faster than the original estimate and at a bid more that $4 million under budget. Total payout by the state was $667,000, more than the $5.2 million estimate because Mr. Myers collected the full $5 million bonus, a small price to pay for such a rapid recovery.

CASE NO. 3: I-15 CORRIDOR RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT OUTSIDE SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH
In the mid 90s, the interstate system near Salt Lake City, Utah, was in need of serious reconstruction in light of the growing traffic demands of a burgeoning population. The project posed a major challenge because it included the construction or reconstruction of 130 bridges and three major junctions with other interstate routes, the largest-ever interstate reconstruction project. The expected time for the project was originally slated to be 10 years. However, the project needed to be finished before the upcoming 2002 Winter Olympics, just six years away.

Lesson 3: Using the 'Design Build' Model to Reduce Time. Facing these challenges, the leadership of then-Gov. Mike Leavitt (R) and Tom Warne, the then executive director of Utah Department of Transportation, chose to use the "design build" model of construction. Design build is a model in which one firm provides all of the aspects of a project -- planning, design and construction -- with its own employees or subcontractors. As a result, projects contracted under the design build model are often completed faster. Using this model, the schedule for the I-15 corridor project was reduced from 10 years to 4.5 years.

The Big Lesson Once Again, Incentives Produced Faster, Better Construction. The contract for the project included incentives of up to $50 million for timely completion, quality and traffic maintenance. As a result, Wasatch Constructors, the company who won the bid for the contract, was able to complete construction in just more than four years. Construction started in April 1997 and was completed in May 2001 -- before the Winter Olympics and ahead of the revised 4.5-year schedule and $32 million under budget.

The result: A time savings of almost six years (from an initial estimate of 10 years to a revised schedule of 4.5 years, and then 5 months ahead of the revised schedule) and a cost savings of almost $32 million dollars.
