GLOBAL
POLITICS
It has
been said that if you are young, and are not a democrat, you do not have
a heart. Like wise, it has also been said, if you are not a
republican, if you are old, you do not have a brain.
Jesus
says, "The poor will always be with us." Does anyone
disagree with the thought that there are a lot more poor people on this
planet, than there are rich people?
My dad
was a life long democrat. However, a book was written and published
before the 2004 election cycle, by Zell Miller, the then Senator from
Georgia - a democrat, entitled, "A National Party No
More." He was referring to the Democrat's party. Also,
during the 2004 election cycle, one of the presidential candidates,
Ralph Nader, stated, "The Democrat's party is corrupt."
It
seems to me that we need five political parties, here in America;
Conservative, Republican, Democrat, Socialist, and Communist.
This way, we would at least know what we were voting for. It is
impossible, under the two party system, to really know. Talk about
a pig in a poke! And even with computers, you still can not make a
silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Surely,
there will be some that think that the "independents,"
"libertarians," and the
"greenies" need to be included in the list of politicians,
increasing the total to eight political parties, rather than five. The only thing
that the two parties in Washington will ever really agree on is that
they do not want anyone messing with their two party political system,
reducing their power, and the pay raises that always seem to
increase. Of course, all laws are written in favor of the two
party system, in an effort to exclude any outside interference.
But
Washington only needs statesmen, that will do what is in agreement with
the constitution, without favor to any group of people. In the off
season election cycle, some one asked me if I had cast my vote. My
response was no. Of course, they came down hard on me, to which
the reply was, "I did my part. It was prayed that God would
get elected those in Washington that He wanted." Need it be
mentioned that all of the liberal RINOs were defeated, as well as only
conservative or moderate democrats were elected?
But it
seems that most of those deceptive dems actually turned out to be liberals, based on their
recent voting records. Again, let me repeat, the liberals only
know how to deceive and spread propaganda.
And if
there was a mandate, in the last election cycle, to get out of the war in Iraq, why was the Senator
from Connecticut that perfectly understands the threat from Arab
Islamic Fundamentalists re-elected as an independent in a very liberal
state, and the liberal Democrat
that was an anti-war candidate defeated? PROPAGANDA is all the dems and the
liberal media know, always trying to shape the news, only to their liking, for
a hoped for future which is actually false hope, rather than reporting
accurate facts.
"Despite all the blogger bravado
that they now run the show, Mr. Cuellar's experience has been more the norm than the exception. The press may adore them, but the Netroots simply haven't notched many concrete victories. "Every time I see [Sen.] Joe Lieberman in the hall, we like to say 'we're still here, aren't we?'" says Mr. Cuellar, a spunky tone in his voice. California's Jane Harman, reviled as a "warmonger," last year whipped antiwar activist Marcy Winograd in a primary, 62%-38%. Ellen Tauscher, who heads the New Democrat Coalition in Congress, was savaged by left-wing blogs for her votes authorizing Iraq and free trade, and in particular for her warning to her party not to "go off the left cliff." She walked away from her re-election with 66% of the vote."
When we
can clearly see
and understand what socialism - left wing of the dems - has done to the world, over the long haul, it still mystifies me as to
it's continued existence; tax and spend on godlessness, until it bankrupts
or absolutely destroys every nation that is involved with it. Germany under Hitler was a socialist
nation. The communist USSR was made up of a socialist
doctrine.
A recent headline, of July 17, 07, is as follows:
Irritation grows over taxes
Norwegians have long accepted high taxes to finance their
social welfare state, but a new survey indicates rising dissatisfaction and, in some cases, outright hatred of some taxes that are viewed as way too high and unfair.
They
stated in that article that the tax on a new car was about the same cost
as the price of the car that was purchased. And there is a real estate transfer tax that can
amount to quite a piece of change also, not to mention the tax
on gasoline - in their oil rich nation, ad-infinitum. Seems that gas is about nine dollars a
gallon.
Remember
seeing an unruly crowd - anarchists - attacking the state house last year, in Holland,
because they were having to cut back on their "welfare" to the
masses, because they could no longer afford the cost.
There are
definitely two attitudes, here in America. Personal
responsibility, and let the government provide it. And of course
that means "universal health care" to mention probably the most expensive item on
the socialists'
wish list.
In my life
time, have seen the health care industry cost rise from about three percent of the
Gross National Product, circa 1960 plus or minus, to the current sixteen
or seventeen percent of the GNP, which is in the thirteen trillion
dollar range. If the dems do get "free health care" for
all Americans, the first thing to understand is that it will not be
free, and the "care" will change to governmental
confrontation.
The point
of all this is for me to boil this down to these two concepts.
Free market capitalism or communism; opportunity or godlessness -
freedom or control. And all politics are based on
those two thoughts, only, no matter how the politicians try to disguise
them; the issues of the day.
All
career politicians look at Cuba as the perfect nation. The liberal
left, and some on the right - RINOs, want to get control of and hold on to absolute power. That is
why always more taxes, trying to buy peoples' votes; socialism.
To truly understand what this web page is really about, the socialism
link, in the preceding sentence, needs to be read. Anybody see anyone trying to get into Cuba, like people from all over
the world are trying to get into America?
The main
problem with giving people anything, that they do not deserve, is that
there is no respect at all. If I work for something, anything, I
will appreciate it, enjoy it, and take care of it. If I have
nothing invested in an article or service, it can be trashed, without
any qualms whatsoever.
The worst
aspect of government charity, rather than Godly love - charity, is that
the more people receive that they do not work for, the greater the
resentment, that is being developed, along with massive amounts of
abuse, fraud, and waste.
"Resentment is anger
excited by a sense of personal injury. It is, etymologically, that
reaction of the mind which we instinctively feel when we think ourselves
wronged. Pride and selfishness are apt to aggravate this feeling
until it changes into a criminal animosity; and this is now
the more common signification of the term."
The second sinful
aspect of government "give away programs" is the corruptions
always begin at their inception, that will always surface in we the
people, where by criminals learn how to abuse the system, and collect
payments, that they are not entitled to, in the billions and billions of
dollars each year.
Sometimes,
I think that there is hope for this world. In the last ten months
or so, Canada has gone back to a conservative leader for it's
government. Germany and France elected conservative leaders, in their
last elections. Personally, I believe that Newt Gingrich is
needed, to lead America back to it's constitution. On the other
hand, it might be best for the former Senator from Tennessee and
the Former Mayor of New York City as the vice-president to win the 2008
election cycle, because of the global political environment that we are
in; some one called the former mayor "bush on steroids." :-) And when the Senator gets tired of being president, the Mayor
would probably be willing to take over the reigns, as the elected leader of the
free world.
My
conclusion is that God will probably get involved in the capitalistic
scheme, during the millennium rule of Christ, in godly organizations and
corporations, so
that more can be done by the corporations, as a free will offering,
rather than forced taxation, to help the communities through faith based
organizations, for the needy in their own communities.
That will really piss the
politicians
off, losing their
power to buy votes. President
Bush was right when he said, "The Government can not change
hearts."
On the
other hand however, ALL of the social programs change a decent heart to
an expecting demanding, demeaning, hateful - of them-selves - shell of a
person, full of doubt and reliance upon all things, other than God.
My
final comment, for this web page topic, is that congress is going to
have to give up on "corporate welfare" too, at all levels in
all areas, for America to be a real "free market economy."
Let "we the people" decide who should stay in business, rather
than congress.
